splitting curve

am trying to make railing with visualarq component using closed curve. Since the visualarq object only support open curves, I am trying to split them into 2 pieces each.

Using the split curve with multiple brep some of the curve (coming all from an intersection)

don't split.Is it a bug? Has anyone seen something similar? is there another workaround to split a closed curve?
