Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi David,

I've just come across some funny behavior with [Scale NU]. In this example I have two spheres on different branches that produce an interconnected lattice frame. When I vary the Z scale 1D I get different orientations of the two spheres and therefore the connections crossing the entire internal space rather than just between layers.

Also with 0.9.0050 just around the corner I want to make sure you know about:

"Create... &" produces an OLD concatenate component

and

The XYZ Vector component has empty variables when first created.

1. I can reproduce the deprecated concatenate

2. The problem with the crossing lines has nothing to do with the scale 1D - There is a conflict between some of your tree logic and the way the polyline component is collapsing zero-length segments. If you look at the results of the "explode curve" component towards the end, it outputs different numbers of curves depending on the Z scale of the spheres. If you replace the Polyline + explode components with a line between a shift -1 and a shift +1 (see image, group highlighted in purple) the result behavior is consistent regardless of the Z scale.

Cheers Andrew

"Double click &" -> obsolete component has been fixed.
