reverse engineering "Bloom" by Dosu architects

Hello everyone,

For my university assignment I am interested in using Doris Kim Sung's 'thermo bimetal' as a material for an art sculpture, and I am trying to replicate Dosu architects 'Hex sphere' project but as I am a novice with Grasshopper I am finding it extremely difficult to find any information/tutorials etc anywhere. At this point, I have achieved a hexagonal grid and i am able to locate the mid points of the cells and draw lines to the corners...but then I get stuck moving forward from there.

Please if anyone can guide me in the right direction, it would be HUGELY appreciated!
