Read File Component does not work as usual

Hi, 

I used Read File component to read a data file. The output list seems to be fine, but then when I linked it to a cull pattern component, the cull pattern component gave a null list. 

I used similar construction to read the same file a few months ago, probably before the grasshopper recent update, and it worked just fine. I guess something must have been changed. 

Would anyone help diagnose the problem?
