Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everybody,

I have the last version of Grasshopper with Rhino 5 and when I right click on some objects, the options that are shown are less than the ones that are shown in the tutorials I'm following. I have attached a screen shot so you can understand it better.

Does somebody know where is the problem? Maybe is something really simple but I really don't know how to fix it.

Thanks a lot,

Miquel

If you're following an old tutorial then it could be that the menu has changed in the meantime. Components used to have nested menus for input and output parameters but they were removed a while ago. You now have to click on the parameter in question to see those menus.

Or you can reenable the old behaviour here:

Thanks David.

It must be an old tutorial because the options of the menu are not the same, even after re-enabling the option you've told me.

Thanks again for your help.

I think you are after the Data Matching Options that used to be available on Context Menus. This is no longer "the way"

Have a look for [Longest List], [Shortest List] and [Cross Reference] components in the Sets Tab >List Panel

In the case of the screen shot I wanted to create a grid through Cross Reference, but it was only an example as the same thing problem had happened in other cases also.

Anyway, thanks a lot for the advice. I'll look for some new tutorials to find the correct way to do this one.
