Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello all,

I can't seem to find the ghpythonlib when I try to import it in the grasshopper python script editor or the rhino script editor.

I've installed the ghpython.gha in my components folder. I'm running Rhino 5 sr9 and Grasshopper build 9.0075.

I can use the python script component and I don't have a problem importing the rhinoscryptsytax or Rhino functions.

When I upload grasshopper I get the first, attached error. Could this be the source of my trouble?

I've also attached the script editor error message that comes up when I try to use the library.

I have been studying the python primer and other resources and feel like I being held back from really getting out of the gate, I hope someone can help!

Hi.Nathaniel

import ghpythonlib.components need to install GHpython0.603 you can go http://www.food4rhino.com/ download

Hi Nathaniel

first, try to find the guilty assembly while loading. It is a third-party assembly, and possibly one that you created yourself with an older wizard. It might just be the one showing in the background, in the green splash screen, "Loading..." . In any case, delete that one.

Then, get the newest GhPython. You can do so from food4rhino and also here.
I hope it helps,

Giulio

Thank you Guilio!

I deleted the assembly that was up in the Grasshopper slash screen at the time of the error message and deleted/updated my GhPython component to 6.3. This worked like a charm!

on to the good stuff
