Pasting from Excel

Hi David,

something odd seems to happen when pasting data from Excel (or your favourite spreadsheet program) into a GH number parameter or text panel.

Here's what is going wrong:

I am copying (crtl-C) a column with > 3000 entries and pasting into a panel (crtl-V).

When the data contains only integers, it copies and pastes fine.

When the data contains floating point numbers, only the first 2800-3000 entries appear in GH. The remaining entries disappear in the nethers of the windows clipboard.

Any ideas why this is?

Did anyone solve this problem already?

I know that you can also load excel data directly but it takes quite a long time (18.7 sec) to import the 8760 values (hourly temperature measured through one year) through the excel reader legacy comonent so I would like to try if it would be faster by copy/paste the values into a panel...it stopps pasting at index 5806...
