Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

Hoping anyone using the kangaroo physics plugin could answer. Has the old kangaroo physics component become obsolete? I am extremely new to grasshopper so I am not sure where to go about.

Most of the kangaroo physics tuorials online that exist from which I can learn use the .099 version and when I install that I do not get the kangaroo physics component.

The new version 2.0 has a solver that doesn't need timer etc. (as I read on the odf information provided by Piker) but I can find very little kangaroo physics tutorials that uses the new plugin.

Can anyone direct me to the new versions' tutorial or advice on how to get the older kangaroo physics component to work?

Cheers

It's a year later and this same problem seems to still exist. I can't find any info on how to use the current version.

Hi Birk,

Sorry to hear you're having problems using it. How far did you get? Did you manage to install Kangaroo2? Open any of the example files from here?

Hey Daniel - thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, I got Ver. 2.33 installed OK; my problem was all the examples and tutorials I could find were for previous versions, so they had connections and GH objects that would not load when I tried their sample GH files.

But I just loaded and ran one of the sample files you referenced - for some reason I never found that list during my tutorial searches. The examples there should be enough to get me operational.  Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
