As a practical use of this. Recently I was helping students control ABB robots from GH (using Thibault's HAL plugin). The robot controller can only output multiple digital values (0 or 1). The students wanted to be able to control the speed of a motor using arduino (as an 8 bit value). So in GH the integer values corresponding to speed were converted to binary, each binary digit assigned to a different digital output, and then recombined again into an integer after the controller outputs the…

I used a C# script for this.
Somewhat related as this was…tag:www.grasshopper3d.com,2014-05-05:2985220:Comment:10644892014-05-05T12:11:45.717ZDanny Boyeshttps://www.grasshopper3d.com/profile/DannyBoyes

Somewhat related as this was a precursor to a binary adder in gh with out using any operators :)

I will! but notice that I feel that Ola is the real winner in the GH solution here :) The path mapper idea is awesome :)

I think that that definition should make David to think about coding another two inputs for the Path Mapper component :P

Today is a bank holiday in uk so im not in the office to open any gh files or post the image of my solution but the file is above for anyone to look at. I will also write up the theory for the 10 type of people to understand the method.

Thanks for all those that took part.

Angel now needs to think of a question for the next installment of ghoffee.
