algorithmic modeling for Rhino

mapping Ron Resch's folding pattern on a surface

Hello,

I'm trying to map a triangular folding pattern on a specific surface but it does not work as it works on a simple grid. I attach images and the difinition. Hope someone can help me to figure out where the problem comes from.
