Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

When using the group component strange things are happening when branches are grouped.  The component works fine when there is a flat list to group, however, when more complex data structures are grouped there are strange results after baking.

I have attached a gh file so you can see for yourself.  Using the Data Viewer in the gh file to examine the results of the group component, the component appears to have created 4 separate groups, each with 5 objects; just what I would expect.  I baked the group component and sent the bake result .3dm file (attached).  However, now in the .3dm file, click on the right most "Rhino" the entire word is grouped (again, as you would expect).  Now click on another "Rhino" to the left. It has grouped the one you clicked with all the others to the right.  In fact the groups change... the farther to the left you pick the more it includes.

This group component will be a very handy tool when this gets fixed.

Good Luck

Stan

I just came upon the same issue.  Same thing with the group changing depending on where you click.

I see this when you group geometry for the surface morph component.
