Grasshopper refuses to capture keyboard input.

Hello, hadn't used Grasshopper in a while but am starting to augment my workflow iterative visualization techniques in the 3D space.  Grasshopper looks perfect to pick up but upon installing latest version, 0.9.75.0 no keyboard input works in Grasshopper, none.  Not hotkeys, no Enter, Delete.  Input is possible if focus trapping UI elements are used such as input forms, but window focus based input is pushing all key presses to Rhino.  Can anyone help me sort this one out?  Would really like to just get productive soon.
