I believe the previous method of having Preview shortcut as Ctrl+Q and No-Preview shortcut as Ctrl+Shift+Q is more user friendly. In practice, the older method of using Ctrl+Q and Ctrl+Shift+Q is making much more sense. I'm a daily user scripting long chunks of GH scripts, and my response to this new feature is completely negative(not because I'm lazy and don't want to adapt).

The old method, I can be certain that when I select all and press Ctrl+Shift+Q, everything goes out.(Similar to the Enable) The new method, the shortcut's behavior is relatively unpredictable, it is prone to mispressed, and the consequence of inverting my preview is a long wait for the display routine to compute.

It is also more meaningful to select a bunch of components, without knowing its preview state, to hide them all simply by one shortcut.

I'm very annoyed by this new shortcut, I dont know others. But I believe for the future development of GH, these shortcuts must be customizable and those settings portable.

Cheers

Thanks Danny and Alpha222. I have removed all of the third-parties (I do not need all of them anyway) and re-installed GH. Now the curve ribbon is there. I will re-install the third-parties as I will need them, then probably the trouble-maker will show itself.

You need to download all the latest updates for your third-party plug-ins. There were some SDK breaks that render old components libraries un-responsive.

If you run the GrasshopperDeveloperSettings command in Rhino you will see where all the libraries are being loaded from.

Hi,

I wasn't there for a while so until today I didn't have a chance to look to the new update. After starting GH, I get two error messages:

The other ribbons look fine. I have downloaded today the newest Rhino 5.0 WIP and the newest Microsoft Runtimes. Re-installing GH did not help.

Are there any ideas what to do? Maybe some component conflicts - can I have a list of default components for this update so I can remove the added ones and see if I get back all of the curve options?

Thanks so far,

I'd have to dig through the Offset command code to see if and how that command uses the Core function. And I find Rhino source code to be on the severely side of unreadable.

Wouldn't be the first time I spend 2 hours looking at C++ magic without gaining one iota of understanding :(

There could be a "Show Full Toolbar" option like the components.

Also any movement on the Wire Display modes for selected components. (Can be limited to menus as suggested)
