Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Got 2 problems with the Geometry Gym IFC plugins in my grasshopper project.

1) I don't know how to model my irregular facade in the IFC so I chose a plate element to define it. A problem now comes that the plate element isn't the same as the defined geometry.

2) When I try to bake the IFC model it always shows error that I don't have a project created, while I have my building attached to a project.

(I'm quite new to the grasshopper and Geometry Gym plugins so my gh definition is tedious. Please use wire frame for preview and use "ft" as default unit for anyone who open my model.)

Thanks in advance for solving my problem.

Hi David,

Hopefully I can help.  Which vesion of GH are you running and what is the document tolerance for rhino?

I'm running 0.9.0070 (but can change) and see an orange component leading to no data downstream.

There is one known issue I've seen (but not yet resolved) if you have multiple gh documents open with ifc components.  Perhaps try closing all but the active one (if this is the case) and try baking to the IFC file.

I'll advise more if we can get the definition working on my computer.

Cheers,

Jon

I'm using ver. 0.9.0061 for gh. The orange components here are not shown in my gh (but with "maintain" underneath).
