<p>In your screenshot, you are trying to get the curvature in the polyline instead of an arc(degree 2) or other nurbs curves( degree 3 or higher).<br/>Obviously, there is no curvature in the polyline of a line segment. And derivative means tangent, ie, a slope at some point in a curve.</p>
