I was trying to create a 3d analysis graphic wich rises from points and show the elevation in different colours. The gradient and shader parts are disconnected because it caused some trouble... Anyway I recommend to open the file WITH THE SOLVER DESACTIVATED

i think i solved what you were trying to do. you needed to divide the surface into a series of faces equal to the number of initial grid points you created and then plug in the flattened list of surfaces to the shader in order to have an equal number of each.
