Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

It seems that the Modify Selection shortcut keys Ctrl+Left and Crtl+Right don't work initially. You have to use the Menu Edit>Modify Selection>Shift Upstream at least once to get them to work.

I tried this both at work and at home to see if it was repeatable. I'm running Vista 64bit on both machines.

Once you have done one of the modify selections the first time from the menu it works all the time on all the options even after a restart of both the software and the computer.

Even after I re-install Grasshopper it still works, so I think it is limited to if you have never ever used the grow/shift selection options before.

I think this also applies to the grow selection keys but I forgot to try it at work before the menu route so now it works all the time.

"...even after a restart of both the software and the computer."

Now that is seriously freaky. Nothing even remotely associated with these menu items and shortcuts gets written to sticky data, so whatever the bug is I'd expect it to happen again after a Rhino restart, and definitely after a Windows restart.

This I cannot test, observe and repeat this, the scientific method goes straight out the window...
