Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

I saw this discussion started last year. But we are still only seeing 'Just Me' in the install.

Has this been addressed?  We want to install it for our campus.

The link http://wiki.mcneel.com/rhino/installrhi  was suggested, but it talks about the installation of Rhino. It doesn't not mention Grasshopper.  Am I to infer that the parameters mentioned for Rhino work for Grasshopper, too?

Thanks,

Marguerite

The RHI is Rhino. You have to update Rhino to get the fixes for the RHI installer engine to work how you want.

In reality the RHI file format is just a compression file like ZIP, so much so that if you change the extension from RHI to ZIP you can open it in winzip. It needs Rhino to interpret the fact that it is plug-ins to Rhino and what to do with them. Disclaimer: this is a very brief and over simplified explanation.

Thank you.

Excuse me if I sound like an idiot..

To make this work:

I currently have Rhino installed.  I need to ensure I have the latest fixes. Once I do I install Grasshopper and the installation process will show the options for installing for ALL users.

Thanks!
