DESCRIPTION:Weaving technique has been used in the craftman’s tradit
 ion for small artefacts like baskets, and lately brought in the indust
 ry for various new purposes. Since it possess delamination­free and d
 amage tolerant properties, this method can be considered as an alterna
 tive but efficient fabrication system. Three dimensional woven structu
 res can be classified according to element interlacement types, having
  different level of rigidity and geometrical differentiation. These ar
 e considered suitable for representing surfaces as generation of form,
  extremely robust and lightweight. More potential in the architectural
  field can be achieved through the integration of computational tools 
 for structural purposes, light filtering and new spatial qualities.  T
 he workshop aims to explore the performance of a ​timber woven light
 weight structure through digital fabrication. A thorough understanding
  the limits and advantages of the elastic bending behavior of the mate
 rial, inform the design process through form­finding methods and the 
 fabrication techniques. Explore multiaxial patterns and optimise the s
 tress of the curvature through structural simulation and computer­aid
 ed manufacturing. The goal is to realise and exhibit a prototype insta
 llation in scale 1:1 to activate SBODIO32 Warehouse.  Softwares: Rhino
