SUMMARY:Rhino3D Foundations for Industrial Design
DESCRIPTION:\nRhino3D Foundations for Industrial Design\nIndustries ar
e converging on a set of tools and methods to accelerate research and
design. This class will explore the modeling workflows necessary to it
eratively and creatively solve today’s product development challenge
s.\n\nOur Rhino3D Foundations for Industrial Design class provides an
in-depth look at 2D and 3D tools and methods with Rhino3D, a NURBs sur
face modeling software. In this class, we will systematically work thr
ough Rhino3D’s core features, using them to model the various compon
ents of a consumer product. Over the course of 3 days, we’ll cover s
ome foundational topics, including Rhino interface and navigation, R
hino3D object types and properties, creating and editing 2D and 3D geo
metry, procedural modeling, automation, transforming geometry, Rhino m
odeling best practices, freeform vs. precision modeling, and exporting
geometry.\n\nYou’ll take away the following:\n\nNavigate the Rhino
modeling environment\nCreate, edit, and modify curves, surfaces, and s
olids\nPrecision model using coordinate input and object snaps\nUse tr
ansformation and universal deformation tools\nApply best practices for
layer management and model annotation\n\n\nDownload the course one-pa
ger. Need more information? Connect with us.\n\nThis class is ideal f
or:\nIndustrial designers who are new to Rhino3D and want to learn its
concepts and technical features in an instructor-led environment.\n\n
