SUMMARY:Parametric Effects Grasshopper / Laser Cutting Workshop
DESCRIPTION:Parametric Effects is an intense 2-day workshop focused on
  the computational design and digital fabrication of surface patterns 
 through parametric manipulation in Grasshopper, Rhino's parametric mod
 elling plug-in. The workshop will familiarise participants with the co
 ncepts of algorithmic design and associative modelling through focused
  design exercises, investigating possibilities of emergent patterns th
 rough the differentiation of simple geometries with Grasshopper. In ad
 dition to understanding the preparation of various materials for digit
 al fabrication, each student will have the opportunity to create their
  own design with the use of our CNC laser cutter. Objects produced wil
 l have the opportunity to be developed further and showcased on the on
 line jewellery and product design shop cyberth.com. The design-based w
 orkshop will be supported by a series of presentations related to the 
 workshop content. All participants will receive 25% off all digital fa
 brication services from 1+2D Digital Workshop for 3 months.The worksho
 p is open to both students and professionals in architecture, industri
 al design, interior design, fashion, and any other related fields. To 
 ensure maximum time with tutors, the workshop is limited to 8 particip
