DESCRIPTION:Intersections 2013: Interoperable Workflow | Innovative Pr
 actice is a symposium with lectures and panel discussions by industry 
 leaders, educators, and innovators on the topics of:\n\nTOOLS: Identi
 fying them, teaching them, and ensuring they play well together.\nINNO
 VATION: Finding the conditions and opportunities for innovation in bo
 th established firms and small start-ups alike.\nMAKING IT WORK: Tran
 slating innovative technology into high-impact practice using lessons 
 from the field.\n\nAn exhibition of student work will run concurrently
  with the symposium. The display will focus on new curricular initiati
 ves within the Department of Architectural Technology and will include
  research and prototypes from courses on foundational digital skills, 
 computational fabrication, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and bu
 ilding performance/energy modeling.\n\nThe symposium will be held in c
 onjunction with the National Science Foundation (NSF) Advanced Technol
 ogical Education (ATE) grant project \"Fuse LAB: Collaborative Educati
 on for Tomorrow's Technology in Architecture, Engineering, and Constru
 ction\" awarded to the Architectural Technology and Construction Manag
 ement & Civil Engineering (CMCE) Departments at the New York City Coll
 ege of Technology (NYCCT). This grant targets curriculum advancement a
 nd refinement, as well as the development of a dynamic feedback loop w
