DESCRIPTION:\nSomewhereSomething is offering a 2-day workshop for bot
 h beginners to Grasshopper and Firefly as well as those who already ha
 ve experience with the plugins (and/or have taken our previous worksho
 ps). The first day of lecture will be spent on learning, reviewing, an
 d depending on the your level of experience, expanding programming ski
 lls to more sophisticated models. Using materials provided by us and o
 ur laser cutter, the second day will be spent building an interactive 
 prototype.\nFirefly is an exciting Grasshopper plugin enabling designe
 rs to connect the digital and physical worlds using the Arduino microc
 ontroller. It allows near real-time data flow between Grasshopper and 
 a variety of hardware devices. Through lectures and demonstrations, pa
 rticipants will learn how to sense various data sources (environmental
 , behavioral, web-based) and use the information to create interactive
  prototypes controlling actuators including servo motors and LED light
 s.\nSAVE THE DATE: On October 5 we will host a reception in the studio
  to showcase and celebrate the prototype created in the Interactive Ag
 gregates workshop. All are welcome, food and drink will be served.\n\n
