SUMMARY:Computational Fashion Master Class
DESCRIPTION:Eyebeam and Shapeways are pleased to announce the first Co
 mputational Fashion Master Class. In this ten-day intensive course, pa
 rticipants will:\n\nApply cutting-edge digital and 3D printing skills 
 to a hands-on project\nLearn from and connect with leading fashion and
  tech experts\nAcquire industry insights to enhance your professional 
 goals\n\nParticipants will gain proficiency in a range of tools and me
 thods relevant to current commercial and artistic practices. The progr
 am will provide an overview of software and programming environments t
 hat include Python, Processing, Rhino, and Z-Brush, as well as instruc
 tion in 3D printing and digital fabrication processes. Participants wi
 ll apply their skills to the collaborative creation and production of 
 printed wearables that will be presented publicly at the conclusion of
  the course.  How to Apply Designers, architects, engineers, artists, 
 and advanced university students from related fields are invited to ap
 ply and participate in defining this emerging area of fashion design! 
 A good understanding of computational modeling methods and parametric 
 design approaches is preferred, but not required.\n\nNEW DEADLINE! App
 lications must be submitted online by Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 12pm
  (noon). We will then select qualified participants in order to form t
 he most dynamic and diverse group of potential collaborators. Selected
  participants will be notified of their acceptance by Friday, June 27.
