Hey Jeremy,

The Kinect SDK does give you access to both the RGB and Depth video bitmaps.  So, essentially in the code, I have to first connect to the Kinect sensor.  Then initialize it for either RGB or Depth map output and then convert the bitmap returned into a Firefly bitmap (using the Firefly_Bridge.dll).  Then, you just have to create a component that visualizes the bitmap on the screen.  Since I had most of this done using the webcam video stream component, this part was relatively easy.

HTH,

Andy

Andy,

Quick question. Since the kinect isn't technically supposed to be used as a webcam how did you get it to pick up a video stream?
