Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Putting some old and some new stuff together in a second attempt at creating a display material preview UI.

Now I need to write the slider UI so I can control the transparency and shine.

@Mohamed, no, that is actually just a trick. It's 2D only but I make it look like 3D. Furthermore this trick only works on closed, fully convex shapes that consist solely of straight edges and planar faces. So pretty limited and probably not useful anywhere else besides the material preview.

At least I can randomly generate an endless amount of valid unique crystals using a 3D voronoi algorithm, so eventually no two crystals need ever look alike.

Does the new Grasshopper display 3D on the Canvas rather than the viewport?

@phillip, at the moment, nothing. I think I'd like to use them to indicate that some object has changed state. Right now I'm just testing that I can easily display them and that they stay attached to the edges, even if the pan/zoom/rotate transform changes.
