Study for my thesis at FAUUSP in 2016.

In this video I explore the possibilities of a genetic algorithm using Grasshopper + Kangaroo + Galapagos to do some form finding/optimization.

Hi Mateusz!

I could not find the "Reply" button.

I am still developing the algorithm, but for now the optimization is very simple: I am just trying to replicate the work of Tomás Saraceno - Galaxies Forming Along Filaments. The goal is to make it with as few "material" as possible and with the shape of a sphere.

For the final proposal I will try to produce a pavilion with this algorithm. So people would be able to sit and lay in those hammock-like structures.

The ideal would be to find a way to input some ergonomic rules. But I do not think I will be able to finish it until December.

Any advice or feedback is welcome!

Very nice, but what are you optimizing actually ? :)
