algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone

As I understand it, save is used... to save a file ; auto save to prevent any lost when crashes... what is the backup used for and is there a way to configure an auto backup (let say every hour) and to erase these temp backup every day (manually or not).

Thank you,

Sylvain.

Save Backup is a handy feature that saves to the same location as your current document a copy with a timestamp in the file name. Unlike the more traditional Save Document As…, this process leaves the the original file (instead of the newly created file) open in the editor.

Unfortunately, as of v. 0.9.0075, the timestamp is not ISO compliant and instead employs an esoteric date format: MMM-DD 'YY, which is wildly problematic because it prevents the files from being sorted correctly if your project extends across two calendar years. Hopefully at some point in the the future this will be corrected to the international standard of YYYYMMDD or YYYY-MM-DD.

I second this wish!

Even better would be to be able to configure date format and folder.
