Highlighting the Boundary of any surface and applying pattern

Hey,

I have been working on creating a pattern in grasshopper. I was just thinking that it would be neat if I could highlight the boundary of any surface I choose to work with. An expaple of the output is presented in the attachment, its a simple drawing in paint showing my intent. Please if anyone can help, that would be great.

If you just want to apply divisions to surface download lunchbox from food4rhino.

Not just divisions, I want to highlight all open boundary and add thickness to it. Got any ideas?
