Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi all,

I am just beginning to learn GH and I am unable to solve this problem.

I have a point on a curve which I wish to place a block, tangent to another curve (the point intersects this curve).

I am wondering how I can reference a block (Curve and Brep wouldn't work) and choose a point in the block as the reference point for the axis of rotation.

I have attached png of my problem, as well as what I would like to achieve.

Thank you in advance!

Felix

This is what I would like to achieve

The Human plug-in lets you place blocks by specified block name and transform. I'd recommend using "horizontal frame" to get planes on your curve that follow its tangency, and then the orient component to construct a transform mapping from wherever the block is defined (usually just the world XY plane origin) to those curve frames.
