algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Dear Hoppers,

I'd be delighted if anyone can help me out with this one. I hope this isn't painfully simple, however I don't think so...

In the attached file, I have two (seemingly) closed meshes and a floating point. When testing for MeshInclusion of the point, only the second mesh returns a True statement. However, as far as I can tell both meshes are actually closed (since I can measure the volume for each).

What is at fault with mesh one and how can I go about identifying/correcting that fault?

Your file crashed my Rhino, luckily I have not lost anything.
You had the mesh inverted (inward normal vectors), so it gave a negative volume. Just flip the mesh (and why not, also clean it).

thank you so much! Yes, I had tried using the "Mesh Flip" and while that inverts the volume value, it didn't correct the Inclusion issue. Your VB script does however... so thank you very much for this!! :)

I'm sorry my file crashed your Rhino, but I can't see why it would.
