algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Daniel,

I am a graduate student in Toronto working on a project involving Reactivision engine + fiducial markers communicating with a Rhino model. I originally approached this project by applying Grasshopper as the 'communicator' between the Rhino model and Reactivision, however my attention is now on scripting through Processing.

I came across your project from 2010 where you used Processing, gHowl, Reactivision, and Rhino.

I have a couple questions:

1. Why can't I find any more recent projects relating to tangible modelling interfaces? Is there a specific reason (other than the advancements of touch screen technology) as to why many of these projects are from 2010/2011?

2. Did you run into any specific problems?

3. Did you ever attempt creating an interactive table surface (similar to the Reactable)?

Any further info or experimentation you did would be super helpful. Not much out there on this stuff!

Hi Alexandra,

Andy Payne has now integrated the Reactivision library into Firefly. That's what I'd recommend using now, and what I used for my later experiments with this. It makes things much easier and cleaner than having to link to Processing.
