algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi there,

I am trying to create a cable mesh to constrain an object defined by a number of points in space with Kangaroo however once I run the simulation, my mesh becomes broken and I don't know if this is due to the force I use. I noticed that after I divide the mesh face polylines and then reconnect the points I obtain a strange star of lines but I can't find a way to fix this. Would anyone be able to help with some advice?

Many thanks!

Hello Irina,

Is this what you are after (see attached definition)? It is not very clear what you mean by constraining a cable mesh?

Why do you divide the polylines? The star shapes are because dividing a triangular polyline adds a midpoint of only one of the edges to the list.

One thing I noticed in your definition is that your Anchor Points are not also part of the list of Geometries that you analyse. Anchor Points should be part of the geometry input as well. Best thing is to use a list item to select your anchor points rather than create different ones which breaks your geometry.

Best
