Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I am pretty new into GH, so if i can get some help on this i'll be grateful.

I got a number of points populated into a cylinder and i want them to start "flowing" in 3 different points outside the solid [at some distance]. The fact is with attractors i get every point getting out of cylinder and moving to the 3places in a line formation[diagonal]. is there any way to attract the lower points in a more intense way and have the top points following a smoother path[like a curve - going down a bit and then to the point]?

I dont know how hard that is and if its achievable but any help or tips would be nice

I would try to create the curves that define your specific flow. Make sure these curves are pulled to your cylinder, then use something like DivideCurve components to create the points.

thanks for the reply, i'll try that. Apart from that,is there a way to control the points in the cylinder in order to act with a gradation to attraction? [bottom to have the maximum attract and top the minimum]

andrew,

You can always use the mapper as in the attached example:

thanks a lot, i'll check that and see how it goes
