Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I have a question.

I created a color mesh in Rhino, and I want the mesh with the exact color to be exported into illustrator. I am wondering is there a way to do that? thank you.(I tried to use Vray but it doesn't work because it does not take the mesh color into account in rendering) Thank you.

The quick and dirty is "-ViewCaptureToFile".

Note the "-" before the command, this enables you to set up options such as image resolution and transparent background.  This is essentially a hi-res screen shot, so set up your viewport display settings in rhino to look how you want the image to look (i.e. white background, line weight and color).  Then set the resolution of your viewcapture to something astronomically large like 10,000 x 8,000 pixels and scale down in photoshop.  This deals with the lack of antialiasing with the screen shot. The nice thing about this is you do not even need to bake your mesh.  The preview mesh from grasshopper is picked up in the viewcapture.

You may also try this approach here.

Thank you guys, problem solved
