Wow this looks great. Fantastic work !
Najna forgive me if I am wrong, but I do not think this is some sort of Image sampler. I think Image sampler can just "work" in two dimensions, so you could not get the dissimilarity in rectangles sizes in the third dimension, which I think is the case in here.
So from my modest knowledge, this could be a couple of attractor curves on surface (I would say 4 attractor curves).

would u please show me the workflow ,  there are threads relating to diagrid ,but there's no one in the forum who can explain me the process , would u please share the ghx file . ? this would be really helpfull in my learing endeavor,
