Brilliant, thanks a lot!  I guessed most of that, but the illustrator steps are really what tripped me up. Thanks again!

Actually this image is not "that much grasshopperish"!!

Anyway, here is the process>

Grasshopper   <sweep 2 surface---divide surface--- generate curves from points (in u direction) ---bake---export curves as AI file>

Adobe Illustrator   <import rhino curves---change stroke style to dashed--- change stroke width --- expand --- change the stroke color to white --- a gradient fill with blue and red --- change opacity--- save as psd>

Adobe Photoshop    <open psd---crop---color adjust---levels---exposure--- lens blur--- spot focusing--- vignette>

Done.
