Thanks. The cells are triggered by paths drawn through open, available space in the block. Cell rules are: 

Life-Like Cell [Current State: Dead]; Evolution Rules:
Dead cell comes to life when it has exactly 3 living neighbors
A living cell remains alive only when surrounded by 4 or 3 living neighbors

Shown is five generations of evolution. The basic structure is more just for visual purposes, and is a simple proximity connection to one of the cells corners.
