Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

We are trying to find a way to twist a veneer strip, by rotating one end of the surface in 180 degree plane (as you can see from the image above, please ignore the second prototype at the bottom). We found a way to control the length and width and the strip and a way to twist it but we could not find a way to control the degree of rotation to our desire. Does anybody know a way to do this?

This is the grasshopper definition that we looked at (mntapeworm by Marten Nettelbladt)

Thank you!

You could try using Kangaroo and the bend component to smooth out the curvature of the strip, and rotate anchor points to induce the twist perhaps?

we had the values in the move and twist ends group start at 0, but it does not seem to work, and then we found out that there are errors in the makespring(kroo) cluster?

actually, we managed to twist the strip but somehow the strip is very broke and angular when we want it to be a smooth curve. We also tried playing around with twisting and rotation degree but it doesnt rotate like our model above

Every time we move the sliders, everything changes inconsistently in shape and degree. we have tried this a number of times but they were all unsuccessful. Any ideas why this happens?
