Hi have you up dated the GG for Rhino 5.0 I cannot get it to install.

Hi Timothy,

I have relocated the plugin files in anticipation of the v5 release (previously the plugin files were installed to a v4 sub folder).

If you drag and drop the .rhp files (or use the pluginmanager) over the v5 application window from this folder they should load: C:\Program Files (x86)\Geometry Gym\Rhino3d

Make sure all installed plugins are updated, manually delete the old folder if it's still there

C:\Program Files (x86)\Rhinoceros 4.0\Plug-ins\SSI

If you're getting a different error, let me know more details and I'll advise.

Hi Jon, I've just sent you an email requesting the license. Just waiting for your response.

thanks bro its brilliant job,

Hi Jon!

I'm Matteo, a student of Architecture from Turin, IT. I've sent you an e-mail with the request for the license, may you check if you've received it and if it's correct?

Many thanks,

Mat

I replied, can you check to make sure spam filter didn't catch it (or something similar).

I'll send you a pm here on the forum.

Hi Maciek,

Sorry for the problems.  If you close rhino, can you see if Rhino v5 has made backups of toolbar (.tb) or .rui in the folder C:\ProgramData\GeometryGym

Delete them, and restart rhino and you should only have a single copy.

This hasn't happened to me but a couple of others have reported it.  If you can post or email a screen capture of the folder contents, I'll try and tune up the command to ignore the backups.

Let me know if this doesn't help.  Cheers,  Jon

I intend to properly support v5 ASAP.  The official release of v5 had a bug that .rhi (rhino installer) did not work for dotnet plugins (also the reason grasshopper is using a .msi still).

Hopefully this is fixed with SR1 (a candidate release is available and I need to test).  I intend to still support v4 for at least 6 months.

I'll try to provide further information ASAP.

Hi,

Have some problems with ggRobot after upgrading to RH5 and GH 0.9.0014.

All points are placed in position 0,0,0 after they have been used in a ggRobot component. Furthermore can beam etc. not be generated.

The sdr components works just fine, so dont think it is a license problem. But not sure.

Normally this occurs if the rhino plugin for Robot is not loaded.  Can you check the pluginmanager (or drag and drop the .rhp file) and running a command such as ssiRobotVersion should verify if it is recognized.

Let me know if this doesn't help.

i need to know step by step how to export to archicad....

or IFC or something like that!

PLease help i actualy do it like a 3ds but isnt the best way.. plus the polygons kills Archicad... HELP PLEASE!

Hi Brian,

I'm happy to advise, but I can help fastest if you can share (privately is fine) the files or models involved (gh and/or rhino).

Archicad doesn't have nurbs, so it might be faceted polysurfaces is the only means, but I can advise better if I know more about the nature of the model.

I assume you've seen this thread, http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=35910

and it's probably good to aggregate archicad specific questions in this thread:

http://www.grasshopper3d.com/group/geometrygym/forum/topics/grassho...

Cheers,

Jon
