algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,
I'm trying to create an anechoic chamber with using Pachyderm Acoustic, but when i start raytracing it create over 27milion of ray without stopping. My question is if it's possible to make an anechoic chamber.

Thank

Hi Carlo,

You must be using the convergence tools with a very very absorptive room, am I right? Consider that for convergence to have been achieved, the impulse response must have gotten something back from the room. If the room never gets anything back, there is nothing to converge... so it isn't surprising that it never stops.

I guess it is worth considering if simulating an anechoic chamber is the right way to solve your problem. May I ask what you are modelling?

Arthur

Of course,
I'm trying to modelling an array for acoustic space starting from one piece of that and i wanted to received the resonance starting from a simulation by a very very absorptive room.

Hey there. Well, bear this in mind - An anechoic chamber has a very short impulse response, or no impulse response. So there isn't really much to simulate.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.

Arthur
