algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

I seem to have a problem with the Analyze component, beam view not working and i just cant seem to understand why. Or is the problem steming from the set-up of the model? I am not sure as set-up seems to make sense to me. Your help will be much appreciated. Also is there a way of how i can reduce the number of the yellow lines representing the mesh load so that they don't seem so dense for visual appeal? Basically, i need to reduce them and space them and possibly increase the arrow size showing the direction of the mesh load.

Thank you

Dear Kudrah,

Karamba3d interprets all geometry to be in meters (or feet in case of Imperial Units) irrespective of what one defines in Rhino. You have to rescale your Rhino geometry from millimeters to meters.

Clemens

Hello Clemens,

I managed to fix the scalling and the density of projection lines working well but the analyze component still won't work. Below is an illustration of what i mean. Your help will be uch appreciated.

Thank you

Hi Kudrah,

i cannot open your definition as you have unique plugins. However if you zoom into the component you can right click on the component to see the error messages. From your screenshot it is impossible to tell what is wrong with the setup.

Hi Mathew. Thanks for your reply. I right clicked the analyse component a couple of weeks back after your reply and found that the reason its not working is because my karamba is a trial version. This really hit me hard because at the moment I can’t afford a 450 € licence to allow me to complete my university project. It’s quite a difficult situation feeling stack. This model would have been my first ever structural Analysis in karamba. Any advice with how I could proceed would be much appreciated.

Thank you in advance

Kudrah

Hi Kudrah,

please email us at info@karamba3d.com and we could provide with a temporary license for your university project.

best,

Matthew
