Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Is there a way to "activate" a slider (automatically move it from one end to other end) if a certain value is true resp. stop the slider movement if the value is false?

I know, slightly conceptual question, but I am just starting out with animations in gh.

Thanks!

No, sliders have an 'animate' feature in the menu, but you cannot trigger this through logic, it has to be done using the mouse. On the other hand, maybe a plugin like MetaHopper can do it?

thanks for your answer!

I have checked Metahopper and haven't come across anything so far. How could I work round this? Is there a component that does something comparabe, ie. trigger an incremenental increase of a number within a certain intervall?

Thanks again!

Why not to try "Metahopper"?

Hi Hyungsoo, thank you! This is exactly what I was looking for. I wasn't aware of the recorder component / didnt think to use it, great solution.

Hello,

I have been looking for the same things for hours now, like the Brute Force component that was once upon a time in the TTToolbox set, or the Ladybug FLY component.

The issue is that for many workflows, the pop up messge in the FLY component makes the workflow UNautomatic, because we have to click yes at teach update of the boolean.

Could you create, or post, the component Mostapha is refering to in the FLY component (@David Rutten)

Thank you :)
