algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone! First time posting here.

I've got a simple problem - I've made a 2D block made of shell elements that is fixed along the bottom. Point loads on nodes of the shell elements push downwards (negative y-direction).

For some reason I'm getting 0 reaction force in the y-direction all along the bottom of the block when I use the 'Reaction Forces' component from results. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your help.

Best,
Umar

Dear Umar,

could you please internalize the boundary curves or add the 3dm-file?

Clemens

Apologies!

Here it is

Dear Umar,

the output of the reaction forces correspond to the local coordinate system provided when creating the supports. This is not made clear in the help-text of the 'Reaction Forces'-component. Thank you for your hint!

If one removes the 'plane'-input at the 'support'-component the reaction forces come out in the global coordinate system (see attached definition).

Best,

Clemens
