Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hey!

How can I add colours to elements in Rhino so they have different colours when displayed in Rhino?

I'm looking for a way to make a rectangular box or surface created i Gh to be displayed in for instance yellow.

Hope you guys can help! :D

You'll need to use the Custom Display component to show geometry previews using custom colours.

Hi David

I'm sorry, but i dont know how that works, I have already been searching under the display tap.

Is there any way you can show me how to change the color of the box in the uploaded file, or can describe more detailed what to do?

Sorry for my stupidity ;)

The file should be pretty much self explanatory.

Keep in mind that this is only a preview in grasshopper meaning that once you bake the geometry, the colour information will be overwritten by the layer preferences.

Thank you so much!

And i will keep that in mind.

Hi Lasse, you might also want to go through some of basics and keep the excellent Grasshopper primer at hand for reference (see this section for color/preview). The search function on the forum is also good to know.
