How to manage a number of geometries in each square of a grid?

Hi!

I have a specific grid and i would like to manage the amount (0,1,2,3 or 4) of geometry inside of each square of this grid.

Each geometry should be squared base and to prism.

I don't know the way to do this.. Could someone helps me please?

Cheers

Draw a picture? random placements for the geom?

And how would you like to 'manage' the amount? random? with sliders? in rhino? numerical input?..

And do you just mean cube/cuboids when you say square based prism? (brep wasn't internalized)

Are they allowed to overlap? with themselves or the grid? etc.

Here's a quick randomly generate 0-4 breps per grid space for you to play around with in the mean time. But really, taking the time to fully explain what you want is a great time-saver :/

Thank you for your answer!

I'm sorry, i will try to explain more precisely.

You can find the updated script here attached. I add my complete structure (pipes), and i would like to manage each square individually to chose if i want 0,1,2,3 or 4 prisms inside the square (not on the structure). Volumes should stay in the squared structure according to height and width. I internalized a prismatic volume, but i would like to manage also the geometry of each prism with sliders (base and top square lofted i guess).

These prisms could be overlaped, but only if they are in the same grid.

The amount should be precisly manage, not randomly. Sliders or numerical numbers.

Tell me if it is enough clear for you.

Thanks again

Hi!

In the script attached, i just add the parametric geometry i would like to have in the grid (1 time if i want a square with 1 volume, or 4 times with different values if i want a square with 4 volumes for example).

I hope it is clear. Don't hesitate to tell me if not.

Thanks

got super sick so probably won't be able to help for a bit.

but it should be pretty simple,

to keep it within the square, just offset all the rectangles by [radius of the pipe + half the thickness of the prism] (base of prism, or at the height it hits the pipe, depending on what you want)

for the sliders, find the.. gene pool component I think its called, which is basically a bunch of sliders, you can right click and set the options to.

Hi!I understand, I hope u are doing well now.. I did what u told me, but still not working exactly the way i want.

You can find the script here attached and a drawing wich can explain better what i want.

Maybe you know how to fix it.

Thanks.

Cheers

Hi! I can't figure out how to be able to have the same triangle and relief variation according to values on other facades. It works well on south's one but the pattern is always regular on others. I don't know why.

Could you help me with this please?

Thanks a lot
