algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi,

I'm having troubles with this component "HB_add glazing".

My test model has a non planar surface for the window.

The window is right on top of the test model.

if the problem is in the curved surface, is there a way to add glazing for a curved wall?

Thanks..

Doaa,

Your window geometry is probably not well aligned with the wall and that's why this is not working for you.

Curved surfaces do accept windows as you can see in the image below. Though is not based on a surface but rather on a percentage of the wall, but the principle is clear.

Please check your geometry.

Thank you Abraham,

I think you are doing it differently.

I'm trying to connect my referenced window to the mass zones..

In your case how is Honeybee figuring out where to put the window glazing?

Attached are the test files..

Thank you

Yes. I know i'm doing something differently, but just to prove that curves windows can be possible.

I bet the problem here is that the geometries are not fitting each other. See image below. When you zoom in you see gaps between them. and they are causing the window not being recognized in HB.

I tried to increase the tolerance but no success with that.

And now a surface based example.
