Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello Grasshopper Users;

For some brief presentations I am trying to make a video animation.

Object view quality is not quite importatant - different collors and different rates of transparency would be just enough.

The important thing is the motion / rotation of the parts and maybe the viewport with in the predefined path.

What can you suggest?

Thanks...

Key all the motion to a slider, than right-click the slider and use 'Animate'.  That will generate a series of screen snapshots while moving the slider which can be assembled in Photoshop as a .gif ('File | Scripts | Load Files into Stack', then 'Make Frames From Layers').

You can also use VirtualDub (free, but not very user friendly) to generate avi or mpg videos from a set of images. It's better than gif if you have many and/or large images.

If you don't need frame-by-frame and can get by with free-hand rotations I've found Cam Studio works quite well.
