Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hello,

in the attached code, I have simulation of ETFE cushions by Kangaroo.

there is not any problem when I work with just one mesh, but when I want to simulate more than one mesh simultaneously (like Alianz Arena envelope), Kangaroophysics component gets red.

I can not realize what is problem.

Thank you for answer.

Hi Hodjat,

The main issues were that the mesh was not triangulated, and the inputs were not flattened.

I also included an update of your file to work with K2 - I'd recommend switching, as it is much faster, more stable, and once you get used to it I think you will also find it simpler to use.

Hope that helps

Ah, cross post! Thanks Hyungsoo. This is more complete than what I posted below as it also shows how to deal with the output.

I erased my posting because of duplicating answer but upload it again, and please check if you want.

And, thanks Diniel. I am always grateful for your contribution.

Hyungsoo,

Thanks for posting your definition. I used your definition and it worked perfectly. I tried to take it one step further by making the mesh inflate on both sides. I duplicated the mesh boundaries and flip their direction, then combine these flipped boundaries with the unflipped boundaries into 1 data set. Then plug it into the Weaverbird Constant Quads Split Subdivision. The rest of the definition was constructed exactly like yours. However, the produced meshes are flat. Do you have an idea why it comes out that way? I attached the definition so you can take a look

Many thanks!
