Grasshopper

algorithmic modeling for Rhino

Hi everyone. I'm struggling with this force component (Hydro) and can't find any examples about it. I'm thinking about creating a buoyancy simulator with a water level variation to preview the behavior of some elements over the water. I know this can be done in other softwares, but I need this in GH. Can someone give me a hint?

Thanks in advance,

DB

That sounds interesting!

hello, i case of you can use this soft

http://www.sistre-shipdesign-software.com/maat-hydro-html-1/present...

just export a closed object in igs format from rhrino

inport in Matthydro

and do the test

not so easy to understand and make the workflow working, but when you know what to do it is working well

but will be nice to see the result in Grasshopper

Here is a custom goal which adds this depth dependent pressure to Kangaroo2, and an example of applying it to a mesh.

The pressure it applies to each triangle is a multiple of the depth of its centroid below zero.

More work is needed, but hopefully this gives an idea of a starting point.
